Mark 14 contains many interesting things in Jesus life the last few days before the Cross.  Jesus was eating in the home of Simon the Leper, a man that Jesus had healed. Meals among friends can be very intimate times and they were in Jesus' time as well.  It appears that many of the people Jesus had ministered to were present along with the Apostles. Good Food, Great Fellowship, Deep Love and Gratitude were all a part of the evening agenda. 

WOW, what a interesting turn in events at this dinner. While the guests were reclining at the table a women came to Jesus with a jar of expensive perfume and poured it on His head. This provoked many of the guests to bitterly criticize her, saying it should have been sold and given to the poor.  Jesus, however, defended her saying that she had done this as an anointing for His burial. 

This was an act of heart felt tangible love worth a year's wages.   

QUESTION FOR US TODAY:  How are we expressing our love for Jesus in a heart felt tangible way?  There are many ways one can do this, we know!  God's love for us is limitless!  So, how valuable is my LOVE FOR JESUS??? Am I expressing my love openly?  

MAY GOD HELP EACH OF US TO EXPRESS OUR LOVE AND DEVOTION LIKE THIS UNNAMED WOMEN DID!!!  What ever Jesus did for her earlier, it had a lasting deep impact on her life and she expressed her love and thankfulness this day.
